That's the thing about running: your greatest runs are rarely measured by racing success.
They are moments in time when running allows you to see how wonderful your life is.

This was my first year ever to participate in the famous Bolder Boulder 10k of Boulder, Colorado. I must say, I was a bit nervous at first, but with a cross country past, I knew I had nothing to worry about. Something about that High School sport brought me to realize so much more about life. It's taught me to believe in myself, and that with hard work and dedication, I can do anything I wish to do.
Before the run, it's always the nervous butterflies, scrambling to make sure your shoes are tied in double knots, and that last deep breath. But as you begin to run, all that worry slips away. Running my first Bolder Boulder with two amazing friends, amongst 52,000 other runners, was an event I will cherish forever. Through the gorgeous landscape, with screaming fans on every side of the street, I realized how truly lucky I am. How lucky I am to live in such a beautiful state, to have such amazing friends by my side every step of the way, and to have two legs and a healthy heart to allow me to run.
