Oh how time flies!

You may remember these two babes from their recent newborn photography session, but if not, be sure to take a peek here, Imogen + Xavier. Haven't they grown?! It amazes me every. single. session with this adorable family of 5.

Time is a funny thing. Every second the daily things around us are changing, yet, it happens so quickly, or maybe so slowly, that we forget to notice. And even if we do notice, it's one of those crazy roller coasters, wanting it to either speed by faster or slow down. Either way, every day your children grow more and more. Those little freckles, golden strands of baby hair, and tiny little purple sandals will soon be a loved memory of yesterday. Your life together goes by and by, day by day, year by year. We only have today, today. Hug your babies, and tell them you love them. They grow up way too fast.

I look so very forward to seeing these two babes and their family again for their 1 Year Photography Session. It will be here before we know it. xo

"How long will I love you? As long as stars are above you, and longer if I can. How long will I need you? As long as the seasons need to, follow their plan.

How long will I be with you? As long as the sea is bound to, wash up on the sand.

How long will I want you? As long as you want me to, and longer by far. How long will I hold you? As long as your father told you, as long as you can."

- How Long Will I Love You, Ellie Goulding

World, welcome baby Jennifer. Named after her Grandmother, she's nothing less than absolutely precious and perfect. She has the most lovely sparkle in her eyes, the cutest head of hair, and the sweetest little features. She spent the majority of our photography session dreaming beneath the sunshine in the family's backyard. Again, perfect.

Boulder, Colorado homes never stop amazing me. And this one, with it's backyard, did just that. I was greeted at the door by big sister, ready for company and to show off her mini-me. This adventurous and smart little pistol shared her new sister with me, let me know who her 'Poppy' was (Grandma), and giving me a tour of her room. She quickly moved on to 'walking her dog', reading her book on the couch with Poppy, and then showing me the way to the backyard. She's so very smart, and will be the best big sister.

Momma and Dad, you have the most beautiful girls. Congratulations again!

Together, we all spent the morning admiring the sweet personalities of their daughters, playing games, and exploring the yard. Home sessions are my perfect match, a match made in Heaven. I can't imagine photographing loving families anywhere other than where their love grows most. xo

Happy Mother's Day | Fort Collins Family Photography

Fort Collins Family photography, Miranda L .Sober Photography, Mother's Day 2016

To all of you lovely mama's out there, I want to wish you a beautiful Mother's Day. You deserve all the hugs, kisses, flowers, and giggles in the world. I hope you are spoiled on your day.

As many of you mamas may know, I'm completely baby c-r-a-z-y. I dream about having my own children one day. I am patiently waiting (my husband may disagree, haha) for that special day to come, but when it does, I know I will be on top of the world. So until then, I live through each of you and your gorgeous daily lives as mamas, hoping to document that timeless beauty for you. I cherish you, and your babies.

'Someday' by Alison McGhee and Peter Reynolds is one of my absolute favorite children's books. My own gorgeous mama gifted me this book not long ago, making it even more special. I owe all I know as a daughter and wife to her, she's the best. If you haven't read this book already, I've shared it's story below. Grab the tissues sweetheart, you're going to need them.

Someday

One day I counted your fingers and kissed each one.

One day the first snowflakes fell, and I held you up and watched them melt on your baby skin.

One day we crossed the street, and you held my hand tight.

Then, you were my baby, and now you are my child.

Sometimes, when you sleep, I watch you dream, and I dream too...

That someday you will dive into the cool, clear water of a lake.

Someday you will walk into a deep wood.

Someday your eyes will be filled with a joy so deep that they shine.

Someday you will run so fast and so far your heart will feel like fire.

Someday you will swing high - so high, higher than you ever dared to swing.

Someday you will hear something so sad that you will fold up with sorrow.

Someday you will call a song to the wind, and the wind will carry your song away.

Someday I will stand on this porch and watch your arms waving to me until I no longer see you.

Someday you will look at this house and wonder how something that feels so big can look so small.

Someday you will feel a small weight against your strong back.

Someday I will watch you brushing your child's hair.

Someday, a long time from now, your own hair will glow silver in the sun.

And when that day comes, love, you will remember me.
