I sat at Spruce Confections on Pearl Street chugging my morning coffee, waiting anxiously for my upcoming session. My heart always races before a session. It's like a crazy mixture of nerves and excitement. But coffee helps. I've found old school rap to do the same, but I won't get into that ;) And I promise you, I was not blasting Nelly along the streets of Boulder. But as soon as I meet my family, all the nerves go out the window and my heart spikes with excitement.

Like right when I saw this adorable family of three come around the corner. My smile had to have stretched across my entire face. They are the cutest, nicest couple with the loveliest little girl. Eva Caroline, you are a gem. Her favorite stuffies tagged along, and definitely made for some giggles.

Together we strolled the streets of Boulder and then made our way to a nearby park. It was like a hidden treasure I had never been to before. I love when family's share with me their favorite locations, it's like Christmas everyday.

Colorado is beautiful. They are beautiful. It's a beautiful thing this life.Thank you, Patterson Family! Can't wait to see you again. xo

Dante | Best Fort Collins Newborn Photographers

Home could be anywhere when I'm holding  you.

This loving family welcomed their newest member into their home on August 23rd, 2016. Meet Dante. He's a happy, calm little babe that smiles most of the time, and makes funny faces when he dreams. He's such a good baby, and so adorable.

I walked into this Fort Collins home and my jaw instantly dropped! A gorgeous home doesn't even begin to describe. It's stunning. And this family knew they just had to have it. They recently moved in, and couldn't feel more at home. It's the perfect place for their never ending love to grow, and to raise their two boys. It's their happy place. It is here that they enjoy watching their favorite movies, snuggling up to one another, and cooking.

I instantly fell head-over-heels for their family, and this sweet kind hearted mama. She's so lovely, and so happy to be 'mom'.  Dad couldn't be more proud of his boys. And older brother, he was relatively quiet, but you could see the happiness in his big brown eyes. Grandma Lola even shared her lovely presence  for our session, she has a heart of gold. They have so much love for their newest member, and I am so lucky to have been given the opportunity to document such joy. xo

Holy Moly. The second I met this stunning family, my heart did summersaults, and my happy meter sky rocketed. I had such a beautiful family, the happiest baby, a gorgeous Colorado day, and sunlight that would make anyone go wild right in front of me. It was perfect. And as I still look back on these photos, I get giddy.

We met at lovely location nearby their gorgeous Denver home, allowing us to explore the evening together at both locations.They moved to sunny Colorado from San Francisco just before little Farren was born. And I can't say enough how happy I am that they did! We were even able to include their two 15 year old pups in some photos, and let me tell ya, they were thrilled. ;)  Can't you tell. Farren sure thought they were funny at least.

I can't thank this family enough for trusting me as their family photographer! I can't wait to see them again soon. xo

Vida | Fort Collins Maternity Photographer

A huge congratulations to the Vida family!

When I first chatted with this adorable mama over the phone, I couldn't help but hear her excitement as she told me all about their baby to come. I had a huge smile on my face the entire time, let me tell ya! We talked all things photography of course, but also, all about her and her husband and what their new life had in store. Together we decided to photograph their session at Horsetooth, just outside of Fort Collins. It is one of their favorite places to get away from the hustle and bustle of life, and where Lee proposed. Perfect! When Marie also mentioned they recently just got a new puppy, I said BRING HIM. He was an angle, so dang cute. I'm sure if we could understand that wild dog language, we would know he is just as excited for the baby's arrival as we are!

I couldn't be happier for this couple and their adorable growing family. Now I patiently wait for baby's arrival in November!

When I recently walked up the sidewalk to this family's beautiful Fort Collins home, I was stopped by large chalk drawings. A huge smile came across my face. In a mix of scribbles, flowers, and rainbows, beside a large stick figure in pink, was a smaller stick figure in yellow. Baby Ellene. She was home, and her older sister wanted everyone to know.

I've never seen any other little ones more excited to share their new baby. These two, Ivy and Landon, couldn't be more thrilled to welcome their little sister home. They have kisses galore, always whispering and touching her gently. Big sister loves sharing her bows, and big brother giggles at her every sound. Little Ellene, you have the best older siblings, and they couldn't be happier to share their little lives with you.

This family of five is now complete, and I couldn't be happier for them. xo

Oh how time flies!

You may remember these two babes from their recent newborn photography session, but if not, be sure to take a peek here, Imogen + Xavier. Haven't they grown?! It amazes me every. single. session with this adorable family of 5.

Time is a funny thing. Every second the daily things around us are changing, yet, it happens so quickly, or maybe so slowly, that we forget to notice. And even if we do notice, it's one of those crazy roller coasters, wanting it to either speed by faster or slow down. Either way, every day your children grow more and more. Those little freckles, golden strands of baby hair, and tiny little purple sandals will soon be a loved memory of yesterday. Your life together goes by and by, day by day, year by year. We only have today, today. Hug your babies, and tell them you love them. They grow up way too fast.

I look so very forward to seeing these two babes and their family again for their 1 Year Photography Session. It will be here before we know it. xo

World, welcome baby Jennifer. Named after her Grandmother, she's nothing less than absolutely precious and perfect. She has the most lovely sparkle in her eyes, the cutest head of hair, and the sweetest little features. She spent the majority of our photography session dreaming beneath the sunshine in the family's backyard. Again, perfect.

Boulder, Colorado homes never stop amazing me. And this one, with it's backyard, did just that. I was greeted at the door by big sister, ready for company and to show off her mini-me. This adventurous and smart little pistol shared her new sister with me, let me know who her 'Poppy' was (Grandma), and giving me a tour of her room. She quickly moved on to 'walking her dog', reading her book on the couch with Poppy, and then showing me the way to the backyard. She's so very smart, and will be the best big sister.

Momma and Dad, you have the most beautiful girls. Congratulations again!

Together, we all spent the morning admiring the sweet personalities of their daughters, playing games, and exploring the yard. Home sessions are my perfect match, a match made in Heaven. I can't imagine photographing loving families anywhere other than where their love grows most. xo
