I sat at Spruce Confections on Pearl Street chugging my morning coffee, waiting anxiously for my upcoming session. My heart always races before a session. It's like a crazy mixture of nerves and excitement. But coffee helps. I've found old school rap to do the same, but I won't get into that ;) And I promise you, I was not blasting Nelly along the streets of Boulder. But as soon as I meet my family, all the nerves go out the window and my heart spikes with excitement.

Like right when I saw this adorable family of three come around the corner. My smile had to have stretched across my entire face. They are the cutest, nicest couple with the loveliest little girl. Eva Caroline, you are a gem. Her favorite stuffies tagged along, and definitely made for some giggles.

Together we strolled the streets of Boulder and then made our way to a nearby park. It was like a hidden treasure I had never been to before. I love when family's share with me their favorite locations, it's like Christmas everyday.

Colorado is beautiful. They are beautiful. It's a beautiful thing this life.Thank you, Patterson Family! Can't wait to see you again. xo

Joseph | Northern Colorado Baby Photographer

"Endless hope and endless joy started with a Baby Boy."

Going to this Fort Collins home, I knew I would be greeted by a new mother and father, with a new baby. However, walking into this gorgeous home, I was welcomed by big smiles, bursting hearts, and a sweet sleepy baby boy. As I have mentioned before, there is nothing like walking through the door of a family with a new member.

As I walked into their home, on their wall I couldn't help but notice a gorgeous wedding photo of this happy couple, in the exact place my husband and I got married. I instantly knew I loved this family. Married only a few weeks prior to us, we chatted all about our special day at the Della Terra Mountain Chateau. Like ours, they only had amazing things to say. It gave me butterflies, and took me back to that amazing Estes Park venue. I of course then, had to know every other little detail about their love story.

This mama is from Michigan. Dad is from California. Mama moved to Colorado for a change, to become a Middle School Teacher. Dad went to Colorado State University, and loved Fort Collins so much he decided to call it home. They met one night at a local restaurant, and little did they know, it was meant to be. I have a huge smile on my face as I share this, as I love nothing more than a heartfelt love story.

These two welcomed their baby boy into the world on July 22nd. Only a few days prior to their 1st Anniversary. The perfect gift if you ask me. :) Joseph is a content, snuggly, laid back, and squeaky little man. He's perfect.

The Eddy family just moved to the Denver area, and I couldn't be happier they are here! They are the most genuine, beautiful couple with a gorgeous little addition. Their love for one another and baby Ryland radiates from their hearts,  and with the happiest twinkle in their eyes, they have the biggest smiles. They prayed and dreamt for their little babe, and from the time of his birth, they have been wildly in love.

I instantly felt a friendship with this couple, and cannot wait to watch their little family grow. Eddy family, Colorado is so very happy to have you!

This sweet and stunning mama, her little boy has her heart. She couldn't share enough just how quickly time flies by. Her baby is one. The love that these parent's have for their little man was so evident during their family photography session. At the base of Boulder's flatirons, I was given the opportunity to document every loving touch. It was a great day to be a Boulder family photographer! Happy First Birthday, Patrick! Everyone, meet Ryan June. Born on May 12th at 3:10pm, she was welcomed into the world weighing 6 pounds 11 ounces and was 20 inches long. She was a dream during her lifestyle newborn photography session. And this family's home, holy moly, I was in heaven! One lucky duck I am.

As I've mentioned before, those in-home lifestyle baby sessions just tug on my heart strings. So, as a newborn, baby and family photographer, I of course absolutely love what I do! I am able to travel to your most sacred place, and document your most precious moments. It's got me head-over-heels, so in love with your family and what makes yours unique. Within those walls is where the magic happens. It's where your family is free to be who you are. During lifestyle in-home sessions I am able to witness the beauty of your everyday life. It's the little things, like rising from from bed and reliving your morning routine day after day. It's where you bring your newborn baby from the hospital. It's where your little ones learn and grow. It's where you kiss each tiny nose goodnight before all of those sweet dreams fill the night sky. It's yours, and it's magical.

Unlike outdoor sessions, your home holds a special place in your heart. Your photos will not only share who you are as a family, but share an important backdrop as well. Your home is your home, unlike any other. It's unique to you and your family, and says a lot about who you are and what your family enjoys.

I have found that many individuals are more comfortable in front of the camera while they are in the comfort of their own home. It can seem less awkward and feel more natural to be somewhere you feel like you. Often times, I'll ask you to pretend like I'm not even there, like a fly on the wall. This way, I can photograph you and your family in your natural state, documenting those true emotions.
