I knew right when I heard this mama say, "We love morning time snuggles, making breakfast while listening to Jack Johnson, and watching our newest member grow right in front of our eyes", that they were it. They were perfect, they were my family. When I heard this lovely mama share all about her growing family, my heart became instantly giddy.

"Our 'Laney-Bug' loves being outdoors already! If she has any moments of discontent, we can usually change that around by going out on the front porch. She enjoys looking at the flowers, trees, and hearing the sounds of the nearby cars. She has melted our hearts by locking eyes with us throughout the day, and will even crack a smile or two, especially in the morning hours and during diaper changes. If Delaney could talk she would tell you that bath time is her favorite and she's already started warding off kisses from her older 'sister', Stella, our 70 lb golden doodle."

I am in awe of this sweet family. In love with little Delaney, and of course, Stella. In an obsession of their beautiful Denver home, inside and out. And in pure wonderment of their adoration for one another, God, and life. I cannot wait to watch their family grow. xo

I could have listened to this family sing these lyrics all day long. Not only did mama and dad's sweet voices make me smile, but their beautiful daughter as well. A smile that instantly filled my emotional heart. A smile so big that it's corners almost made it to her sparkling blue eyes. She's one lucky girl, with parent's that love her more than the world.

This recent family photography session has easily become one of my favorites. From the moment I walked up the driveway, I knew it was going to be something special. From two, to three, this family has nothing short of an extraordinary love. xo

James | Boulder Newborn Photographers

Please welcome baby James Scott. He's new here to the world, and happy as can be. This sweet baby boy was born June 11th at 4:00pm, weighing 6 pounds 15 ounces, at 20.5 inches long. He has two older siblings, Maddie and Jack. They adore their new little brother. Throughout their entire newborn photography session, they whispered into his little ears, sang 'Jesus Loves Me', and gave him the most gentle hugs. They have so much to teach their new little brother, like how to play their ukulele, read stories under their tipi, and the best way to snuggle every stuffed animal possible.

These little ones take me back to my own little years. My little years with my little siblings. I was the oldest, always snuggling and loving on 'MY' babies. I couldn't help but see myself in sweet Maddie. We instantly became the best of friends, and I can't wait to hear all about her new adventures as the big sister of TWO.

This family stole my heart. I adore each of them so, and look forward to seeing them again one day soon. xo

You may recognize this sweet baby from his recent 8 month photo session, but now, I'm here to introduce to you Quinn's amazing family. I adore every single family I have the opportunity to meet. Each so beautiful in their own way, with their own dynamic, their own style. This family, to say I adore them, well that's an understatement.

First, there is Quinn's older brother, Aiden. Quinn gets a huge smile on his face every time he comes around. Together these boys are the most handsome little brown eyed, brunette children, EVER. And besties at that.

Now, for Aiden and Qunn's parent's? They are so happy, laid back, and absolutely in love. They made their photography session so enjoyable and beautiful. And gorgeous mama you, you selected the perfect clothing choices! I am dying for a pair of those striped overalls!

Your Baby Nursery, Your Story | Fort Collins Photography Websites

Recently, I shared a few of my favorite things about lifestyle photography sessions photographed in your home. Each and everyone of those things still holds so true to my heart. When you book a lifestyle newborn, baby, or in-home family session, you are not only trusting me to document your family, but are trusting me to come into your home. To me, that's huge! I won't lie, there is never a time I don't ring a doorbell without nerves shooting through my bones. But that just how I am. But, as soon as I see you and your family, all that goes away. I've been welcomed into so many beautiful homes. Each one is so unique, full of character, and full of that family's love. I feel it every single time.

Many families question if photographing their session in their home is the best option. My opinion? Yes. Don't get me wrong, I absolutely dote over those grassy fields with stunning sunlight. And those locations are perfect for family photography session. However, when it comes to newborn, baby, or a 'day in the life' family sessions, I have no words. Many mama's dislike the colors of their walls, wonder about the style of their home, how their comforter isn't their favorite, or that they just don't have the energy to clean.

Let me tell you something...

When you look at your photos of the beautiful little family you helped create, you will not be thinking about the color of your walls, the style of your home, how that comforter isn't your favorite, and you will not remember if your home was clean or if a tornado just struck the night before.

I promise. You'll be thinking about how your family is perfect the way they are, how happy you are that these photos are your's forever, and how full of love your heart is.

My goal for every session is to create a story. A flow of your images that brings back that special feeling of that particular magical time in your life. From this day on, I am promising to photograph not only your family, but your home, and the feeling you get from being within those walls.

Happy Mother's Day | Fort Collins Family Photography

To all of you lovely mama's out there, I want to wish you a beautiful Mother's Day. You deserve all the hugs, kisses, flowers, and giggles in the world. I hope you are spoiled on your day. As many of you mamas may know, I'm completely baby c-r-a-z-y. I dream about having my own children one day. I am patiently waiting (my husband may disagree, haha) for that special day to come, but when it does, I know I will be on top of the world. So until then, I live through each of you and your gorgeous daily lives as mamas, hoping to document that timeless beauty for you. I cherish you, and your babies. 'Someday' by Alison McGhee and Peter Reynolds is one of my absolute favorite children's books. My own gorgeous mama gifted me this book not long ago, making it even more special. I owe all I know as a daughter and wife to her, she's the best. If you haven't read this book already, I've shared it's story below. Grab the tissues sweetheart, you're going to need them. Someday

Someday you will walk into a deep wood. Someday your eyes will be filled with a joy so deep that they shine. Someday you will run so fast and so far your heart will feel like fire. Someday you will swing high - so high, higher than you ever dared to swing. Someday you will hear something so sad that you will fold up with sorrow. Someday you will call a song to the wind, and the wind will carry your song away. Someday I will stand on this porch and watch your arms waving to me until I no longer see you. Someday you will look at this house and wonder how something that feels so big can look so small. Someday you will feel a small weight against your strong back. Someday I will watch you brushing your child's hair. Someday, a long time from now, your own hair will glow silver in the sun. And when that day comes, love, you will remember me.
